# Pioneer

Pioneer biplane in the style of the 1906 box-kite flyers, with its own dirt airstrip and hangar north of Armadillo. It is sold at the RCO Vehicles dealer like every RCO vehicle (see [Overview](https://rust-co.mintlify.site/rco-vehicles/overview.md)).

## Seats and keys

Two people fly standing in the leather basket, the pilot on the left with the control lever. Wings and the front box break off when they hit something; it explodes only when the engine hits the ground.

* Pilot: **Shift** throttle up, **Ctrl** throttle down (brake on the ground), **W / S** stick forward / back, **A / D** steer on the ground and bank in the air. **F1** shows the list of controls

## Configuration

Change a value and restart the server. In `config/config.lua` of `rco-pioneer`:

| `Config.Flight.CruiseSpeed` | Speed it settles at with the stick let go, km/h | `45` |
| `Config.Flight.MaxAirSpeed` | Level flight at full throttle, km/h | `70` |
| `Config.Flight.MaxHeight` | Metres above the ground where the engine stops climbing | `400` |
| `Config.Effects.Backfire` | Flame and bang from the exhaust: at start-up, when lifting off and now and then | `true` |
| `Config.Effects.StartSmoke` | Puff of smoke from the engine when it starts | `true` |
| `Config.Crash.Explode` | Explodes only when the engine hits the ground | `true` |
