# Troubleshooting

> The most common problems and how to fix them.

## Pressing E at a station does nothing

* Stand closer: the player has to be within `Config.UseDistance` (1.2 metres) of the station. The keys show at the bottom of the screen when you are close enough.
* Load a character first.
* Someone else is using it: a station takes one player at a time (the bench and the medicine ball also take a partner).
* The player is an animal: only human characters can train.

## The body doesn't change

* No appearance creator is running: the muscle needs **RCO Appearance**, **RSG Appearance** or **VORP Character**. Without one, the levels still go up.
* `Config.Muscle.Enabled` is `false`.
* The player is using a ped model: the muscle only shows on the multiplayer bodies (`mp_male`, `mp_female`). Levels still go up.
* Give it time: the body follows the levels by at most `Config.Muscle.GrowthPerDay` of the full size a day (5 days to show everything at once).

## "Short set: it did not count"

The player left before `Config.Progression.MinReps` (5) good repetitions. A short set gives nothing, so nobody gains by doing one repetition and leaving.

## I can't pick a heavier load

The top load grows with the level of the exercise's main group. The load picker shows the player's top load; to lift more, train that group. You can raise the loads in `Config.MaxLoad`.

## A muscle group can't be trained

It is strained: a heavy load missed without warming up. The record board shows how many hours are left. Warm up with a light set of 5 repetitions before a heavy one.

## The experience is very low

* The group is tired: it gives less until it rests (see the record board). Train another group.
* The load is light: under half of the player's top load gives almost nothing.

## A station I placed floats or sinks into the floor

Its coords were taken off the floor (on a horse, on a step, in a vehicle). Stand on the floor where the player should use it and take the position again: the station is placed from the player's own height.

## The camera of an exercise is behind a wall

Each exercise has its own camera 1.5 to 3.5 m from the station, mostly in front and to one side. Move the station away from the wall or turn it, so that side is free. On the bench, `cam = 2` uses the camera from its other side.

## The rings, the rope or the heavy bag hang in the air

They hang from a point 4.0 m above the floor, as in Strawberry, where a beam holds them. Place them under a beam or a ceiling at about that height.

## The gym looks like the old house, or there are holes in the walls

Another resource streams files for the same Strawberry house or area (a housing script, a map of Strawberry). When two resources have a file with the same name, only one of them is used. Stop the other resource, or ask its author which files it changes.

## The game crashed after restarting the resource

Restarting a resource that has 3D models while your game is open can crash the game. Close your game first, then restart the resource, or restart the whole server.

## "Version check unavailable" in the console

RCO Gym could not reach our public version list. It's only a notice: the gym starts and works normally.
